yes, this post was written 5 minutes after the last one. The two comments needed separate spaces. So, here it is:
the air was thick and wet today, and boxed in by storm clouds waiting for the right moment to burst. I'm not used to this kind of humidity - walking to class I felt like I could barely breathe.
Around 5 it finally popped, the seal on the rain clouds. I walked out of Burton into fat drops that had already started sliding into streams on the campus pathways. It was still hot, and humid, but the raindrops were cool and they felt so good. It was kind of embarassing, I couldn't stop giggling at myself squelching home with no umbrella, and by the time I got to my room it looked like I'd taken a shower with my clothes on.
Afterward the air was still warm, but juicy-damp, not heavy, and there was the tiniest bit of cool. I could go walk around in it for hours. But Corey is studying and Mio is asleep, and I don't want to go alone.
